CREMS Research Scholar Program

The CREMS Research Scholar Program is soliciting faculty members for research opportunities. The deadline is Friday February 14th, 2018.

The goal of this program is to provide 1st year medical students the opportunity to participate in the continuum of research – from idea creation to data collection to a scientific publication and/or a presentation at an international conference/meeting – via a consecutive 20-month longitudinal research program. The program consists of a mentored research project, which is supervised by at least one full-time faculty member at the University of Toronto. The candidate supervisor must also be appointed to a graduate unit at the University of Toronto (e.g., Immunology, Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, Institute of Medical Sciences etc.).

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Toronto will contribute $2750 to each successful CREMS Research Scholar that is recruited by OBGYN faculty (limit max of 1 scholar/faculty member). That figure will be matched by a hospital OBGYN practice plan for a total of $5500 in funding support.  Please see documents linked below for more information. For any questions, please contact Michael at obgyn.research@utoronto.ca.
