Message from the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Officer
Welcome to the Department's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) webpage! I am honoured to be taking on the inaugural role of EDI Officer, and I look forward to supporting the Department in its mission to achieve equity in all aspects of administrative and educational work.
The creation of the role of EDI Officer for Obstetrics & Gynaecology aligns our Department with the Faculty of Medicine’s strategic planning priority “Excellence Through Equity”. Our Department's goal in equity, diversity and inclusion is to create a community in which our faculty, trainees and staff are empowered to effect positive change and transform our community into a fully inclusive environment.
We have some exciting initiatives on the horizon that we hope will bring our community together to make a more harmonized environment for our faculty, trainees and staff, as well as the patients they serve. Keep an eye on this page for more information!
