Dr Barry Rosen is Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto. He is Head of Gynecologic Oncology at both the University Health Network/ Princess Margaret Hospital and The University of Toronto. His clinical practice is in gynecology oncology at The University Health Network and his areas of research include hereditary ovarian cancer, screening for ovarian cancer and development of clinical and research databases. He is a past President of The Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada and he is on the executive of NCIC gynecology site group. He has recently travelled to Africa to work in the area of cervical cancer in Western Kenya as part of a collaboration including The University of Toronto and Indiana University and Moi University. In this capacity he is working with Kenyan doctors to develop screening and treatment strategies for women with cervix cancer.
