Dr. Dafna Sussman is the Director of the Maternal-Fetal Imaging (MFI) lab at the iBEST institute, St. Michael's Hospital. She is also an assistant professor in Biomedical Engineering and Biomedical Physics at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), and an affiliate scientist at the Keenan Research Centre for Biomedical Sciences at St. Michael's Hospital. 

Dr. Sussman completed her BASc in Engineering Science - Physics stream, with honours from the University of Toronto, MSc in Biophysics from Waterloo University, and her PhD in Medical Biophysics with a focus on Clinical Imaging, from the University of Toronto. She then completed her postdoctoral fellowships at the Hospital for Sick Children where she further specialized in Developmental Neuroimaging using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Fetal Diagnostic Imaging, and Maternal-Fetal Physiology.

Dr. Sussman's current research focuses on the development and clinical applications of novel techniques that facilitate maternal, fetal, and placental imaging.
