Dr. Kirsten Smith received her undergraduate medical training at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. After residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she completed her training with a fellowship at the University of Toronto in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Pelvic Floor Reconstruction under the mentorship of Dr. Guylaine Lefebvre and her colleagues at St. Michael’s Hospital. Since 2005, she has been practicing at North York General Hospital and continues to teach medical students, residents, fellows and other allied health care professionals in her capacity as a Lecturer for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto.

In addition to her clinical practice in general gynaecologic and pelvic floor reconstruction surgery and general obstetrics, Dr. Smith has worked at North York General Hospital’s comprehensive Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic since it’s inception in 2007 and has a busy colposcopy practice.
